Chor, a brand new language

Yes, yet another programming language: Chor
As the name suggests Chor is a new programming language for communicating systems, based on choreographies ( I'm not talking about dance of course :P ).
There are many reasons to give it a chance.
First of all is a creature of my brother Fabrizio, then because it's very promising and has solid formal foundations.
It's still in alpha state but you can see it in action in this video:

Jolie on Azure Functions

Hi all. Some weeks ago Azure Functions' team released (as a preview) custom handlers . From the official doc: Custom handlers are best suited for situations where you want to: Implement a function app in a language that's not officially supported . Gateway Consorzio Triveneto per WP e-commerce

Recentemente ho dovuto integrare il gateway di pagamento del Consorzio Triveneto  nel plugin WP e-commerce , uno dei più noti plugin di commercio elettronico per Wordpress. All'inizio pensavo di utilizzare l'ottima classe PgConsTriv  di Davide Gullo, poi ho realizzato un'integrazione veramente minimale partendo dagli esempi forniti dal Consorzio e dalla documentazione di WP e-commerce. E' puro spaghetti-code ma forse a qualcuno può tornare utile :) Di seguito il codice del nuovo gateway da salvare nel folder /wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-merchants/ del vostro server. Tutte le funzioni andrebbero raccolte in un unico file (compresi i callback di ritorno dal gateway), per intenderci $responseURL dovrebbe essere qualcosa del genere: get_option('siteurl')."/?constriv=ok"; e quindi tutte le azioni verrebbero gestite dalla funzione  gateway_constriv_gateway,  purtroppo ho avuto qualche problema nella gestione degli indirizzi da parte del ga

Jolie micro services on Kubernetes

Jolie is a (micro) service-oriented language. Jolie's capabilities work well with Docker and you can find an example in the official documentation here . So d eploying a Jolie service in a Docker container is quite easy. Now it's time to go onboard with Kubernetes ;-) This is only a little demo on how to set up a Kubernetes environment on your PC (thanks to minikube) and build up a scalable clusterized version of Jolie's "Hello world" example. You can find Jolie examples on this GitHub project . What we are going to do now is to transform "01_getting_started" sample (which simply twices a number) into a powerful Kubernetes scalable app (doing exactly the same thing, but in a cool way).
